Eligibility

1. B.Sc in Computer Science & Engineering / Electrical and Electronic Engineering / Textile Engineering

• Minimum GPA of 2.5 (or 2nd division) separately in SSC and HSC or equivalent exams with Mathematics and Physics.

• If GPA is 2.0 in one exam, the combined GPA of SSC and HSC must be at least 6.0.

• For O/A-Level candidates: Minimum GPA of 4.0 (grade B) in 4 out of 7 subjects and at least GPA 3.5 (grade C) in the rest.

2. Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) / BA (Hons) in English / LLB (Hons) / BSS in Sociology

• Same GPA requirements as above without the mandatory requirement for Math and Physics.

3. BSS (Hons) in Journalism & Media Communication

• Minimum GPA of 2.0 in both SSC/O-Level and HSC/A-Level or equivalent.

4. Graduate Programs (MBA, MBM, etc.)

• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 in a relevant bachelor’s degree.

• Must also meet the undergraduate program requirements mentioned above.

International Student Admission Guidelines

The University of Comilla (UNIC) encourages applications from international students who meet general admission criteria. Interested students should apply online or send a formal application to the Director of International Student Affairs along with official academic transcripts.

The Equivalence Committee will review the documents and submit a recommendation to the relevant Dean, who will confirm admission. The final credit requirements for the student will be determined by the concerned Department Chair or Dean.

Academic Calendar

UNIC follows a Trimester System:

• Spring: January – April

• Summer: May – August

• Fall: September – December

Each trimester includes registration deadlines, class schedules, examination periods, and holidays, detailed in the academic calendar.

Application Process for International Students

Steps:

1. Review available programs and tuition fees.

2. Select your preferred course.

3. Submit required documents (see below).

4. Upon eligibility confirmation, receive an Admission Letter including passport details (if required).

5. Upon arrival in Bangladesh, report to the Admission Section and complete enrollment procedures.

6. All payments are to be made in Cash (BDT – Bangladeshi Taka).

Closing Date of Admission

Admission deadlines are posted on the official university website. International applicants are encouraged to apply at least two months before the semester starts due to the visa process.

Accommodation

UNIC offers on-campus accommodation for both male and female students.
Cost ranges from USD $150–$200 per month, depending on room sharing and apartment quality.

Important Notes for International Students

• Always communicate with the Director of International Students Affairs and your Embassy/High Commission for support.

• UNIC does not arrange visas, but can provide supporting documentation for your visa application.

• Submission of false or fraudulent documents will result in dismissal.

• A Certificate of Admission (in English and Bangla) will be provided for visa purposes.
